Back To School With Triple Flip Review and Contest

Sponsored by: Triple Flip

For our family, heading back to Fall routines always include a trip to Triple Flip. My nine year old twins love the tradition and because they are gymnasts, usually their clothing picks include the locally made Triple Flip gym line. This year’s shop included clothing selections with an older, street wear vibe.  It reminded me that they are entering the pre-teen stage and I’m glad that Triple Flip knows the value of manufacturing and sourcing gorgeous clothing that is appropriate for these years; providing fashion freedom that is perfect for their fun ages.  This concern was how Triple Flip was born from founder Linda.

Linda Maslechko, the mother of three girls (all of whom were going through their awkward tween years), realized that there was something missing in the marketplace for girls aged 7–13 years. Shopping with her daughters was just a series of disappointments and fruitless searching to find something they liked and that fit their growing bodies.

Have you seen the hashtag #strongisthenewpretty? It’s probably the best message on social media at the moment. Muscles and strength are beautiful and young girls are seeing this message through clothing and fashion. A fashion brand that stands for a healthy lifestyle while still being cool is what Triple Flip and ‘Flip Girls’ is all about. A brand I love to support with their effort to support their house line manufacturing in Calgary and their efforts to keep girls looking in the mirror, and loving what they see!  Below you see a spontaneous dance when my daughter Isabella finds her perfect outfit!

Holiday Glam & Contest with Triple Flip

Sponsored by: Triple Flip

Hosted by: Mommy Footprint

From a very early age, one of my twin daughters decided she didn’t want frilly, poofy looking dresses. So at around 4 years old,  she opted out of the holiday dress tradition. We now know she has sensory issues so maybe the itchy fabric with the dressier clothing might have contributed to this decision. I always let my kids lead and never push clothing issues. So imagine my delight when this year, her little voice asked to try on a holiday dress while we were purchasing onesie PJs at Triple Flip. I kept my cool and casually handed her the dresses she liked. Both of my girls selected dresses from Triple Flip this year and I totally understand the excitement that goes along with the tradition of holiday dresses and imagining all the fun places to wear them!

The above picture is  the holiday dress my daughter Sophia picked. From the minute she put it on, I could tell it was comfortable and none of the dresses in the Triple Flip Holiday Glam Collection scream Christmas, meaning they will get worn many times throughout the year.  Pictured below is the other dress carefully selected by my other daughter (middle blue with pockets called the Brianna dress).  I know, adorable. And I have to say, all the Triple Flip dresses are so classic but hip and modern that 7+ ages are gravitating to. I completely understand the different stages children have when it comes to picking out clothing; being involved in the process, not wanting to participate, etc. …I’m happy to embrace them all. Right now, my daughters want to be involved with shopping and I love teaching them the importance of spending our treasured consumer dollars carefully and with thought. They hear my questions in the store “where does this designer manufacture?” “what is this made from?” “tell me more about this Collection and how it fits”, etc.  I always leave the Coquitlam Centre Triple Flip store feeling like I’ve invested in more than just great clothing. I always have thoughtful discussions about the movement to manufacture clothing locally with store management and I leave a mainstream store feeling good, with incredibly happy children. The entire experience is a pleasure that always ends with happy faces.

About Triple Flip

Triple Flip – flipwear for the modern girl – fun, active, comfy! The Triple Flip stretch line is manufactured in Alberta, Canada proving that the ‘manufacture local’ emphasis is important to this clothing line. Shop online at www.tripleflip.ca!

You all know I love Triple Flip because of their dedication to manufacturing their house line (stretch-ware) locally. This combined with the fabrics that feel like butter next to my daughters’ skin – they are excited to wear the hip, fun fashion at Triple Flip and enjoy the comfort of how and what it’s made from. I have focused on holiday attire for this article, but I must give you the scoop on another Triple Flip product. Triple Flip manufactured their own line of onesies this year, 100% cotton and super comfy. I purchased two pairs for my girls and they LOVE them. It is so difficult to find 100% cotton PJs that don’t have polyester and flame retardants in the fabric, so if you can find any Triple Flip onesies left in a local or online store – pick up a pair!  The company isn’t re-printing these before the holidays and they are a ‘must have’ item.

To help you with your holiday shopping, Triple Flip is generously giving 1 lucky reader a $100 Gift Certificate to their store. This giveaway will be live for 5 days and is open to all Canadian and US residents.
