I have been a Norwex Consultant for years and I am a Consultant Trainer. To prevent your cloths from smelling you need to follow two simple rules:

1) Don't use them with soapy water, not even the Norwex Dish Liquid. If your kitchen sink is full of soapy water - resist the urge to submerge your Enviro Cloth. These cloths do remove 99% of all bacteria from your counters, just by using water. The cloths have silver in the fibers because bacteria can not grow on silver. When you use your cloths with soapy water, the soap acts as a barrier between the silver and the bacteria. Therefore the bacteria grows and your cloths start to smell!

2) Frequent laundering is important. For maintaining a kitchen for two years, I recommend 3-4 cloths. The Enviro Cloth needs to be rotated every other day. This cloth replaces your ordinary cloths, chemical cleaners and paper towel. Considering it can polish; stainless steel appliances, your sink, your counters, granite etc... after two days - it needs to be laundered. Collect all your microfiber cloths for a week and launder them together in one load. You do use laundry detergent - your washing machine has a great spin and rinse cycle to remove all the soap residue out of your cloths.

I have customers who have had their original cloths for five years and they have never had ANY odor. These are the instructions I recommend.

Hi I am a new rep and you can add vinegar or baking soda to the boiling water and boil for 10 mins. Also I know someone who used the dishwashing liquid on clothing stains that had never come out even after multiple washes and the stains came out that wash.
Good luck with you products and your chemical free lives.

re cleaning cloths - My cloths are a bit stained, but that doesn't bother me as much as that they never smell clean. I boil them regularly, but they don't smell goo - can I put in vinegar or something to try to make them smell clean??

As for the stains in the Norwex cloths -
You can try boiling them, or you can try our new Laundry Pre-Wash. This might help, but if the stain has been there for awhile it's probably stuck. Please don't use bleach or any other chemical on them to try and get the stain out! The chemical will destroy the microfiber, rendering the cloths basically useless (except to smear the dirt around).
Word to the wise, when you notice your cloths are getting a bit dingy, just boil them. Don't let them get too bad. As with any stain, once it's set it's set.
Hope this helps!

The Norwex carpet cleaner is awesome! My son had spit up stains all over the white carpet, and nothing could get them out. I was ready to rip the carpet out and reinstall a new one. I tried Norwex carpet cleaner, and the carpet is like new again!

hi! I'm not a Norwex rep, but I have been told by one, that you need to boil your cloths to release all the dirt and grime that has collected in them. They might remain stained - depending what you've wiped up, but at least they'll be clean to use. How old are they?

Actually, vacuuming your mattress is possibly the worst thing you can do with regards to dust mites.

There are a couple of reasons for this.

The first is that the vacuum you have in your home is not strong enough to effectively remove the mites, and the bio-matter and fungus which they feed on, from your mattress. You are just going to bring it closer to the surface. Closer to your face.

The second thing is unless you are using a commercial vacuum with a proper HEPA filter, you are just going to be blowing the particles from your bed, back into your room. There have been some questions recently as to whether HEPA filters available on consumer vacuums are effective.

With the Norwex Mattress Cleaner it is just so much easier!
