Also good to note that the same bleaching process that makes tampons toxic also makes disposable diapers toxic. Do we really want our children sitting in carcinogens/disease causing agents for the first two years of their lives? YIKES!

Thanks for the comment Lisa! And I totally agree, unless those products are toxic to your health. But in instances like dish detergent that isn’t eco-friendly, household detergents etc. I totally agree.

It is a common practice for those trying to be environmentally conscious to panic and dump their current supplies in favor of healthier options. Remember it is healthier for the planet to not waste what you have already bought.

what about the DIva cup? I’ve switched to this method since having my daughters. Love it! I think it is a great alternative to the tampon.
